Not My Day

I had not even left the house yet (except to walk the dog) and this happened:

Whoops.  I hate loosing good pint glasses, but it is bound to happen.  I moved on to wash a few more dishes.  Within 2 minutes of incident #1, incident #2 took place:

I have a whole set of these bowls (and dishes to match )so it is OK, too, I suppose.  But it is sad to no longer have a full collection.  I never break dishes and I always wash by hand, so I am more upset that my good record is being broken.  What is wrong with my hands this morning?

After reading about a runner being hit by a car on Monica's blog, I was tempted not to leave the house at all today.

Do you ever have a sign that it is going to be one of those days?

  1. Totally different, but the other day on my way out of the house in the morning, I asked my husband the same question three times. I kept thinking that I had only THOUGHT about asking him. Obviously, the coffee hadn't yet reached the auditory processing section of my brain...

[Either that, or he was just messing with me when he looked at me and asked, "Do you know you've asked me that three times now?"]

    1. Oh this totally reminds me that my first action of the day was brewing water without adding the coffee grounds first. I forgot that part of the morning as well :)

  2. Yikes! Glad you didn't get injured with those breaking dishes. I once had a glass break while I was washing it and had to get 5 stitches in my hand.

Hope the rest of your day goes smoothly

  3. Sorry girly! I hope your day gets better, I also hate breaking things, but it happens sometimes. I broke one of our nice martini glasses from our cruise when I was packing to move and hated it, but above all it is just one glass, nothing to fret over.

Oh and yesterday... if it makes you feel better... I constantly wondered why my phone wasn't charging. I was at the point of googling the phone model to see if there was a fix. Then I figured out I'd unplugged the charger earlier. Oops...

  7. Oooh! yes! When I have to go up and down the stairs 50+ times in the morning, get in the car and forget something and have to go back in the house, and inevitably still leave my coffee or my lunch at home. Hate that!
Sorry about your glass and bowl! :(

    1. Your comment actually made me think about my dream last night, which inspired my recent post. My dream was just weird though. Sorry yours was bad :( Bad dreams are the worst.
